6/30/2023 0 Comments Trove by K.J. MontgomeryI like the creative, unknown side of things. I’ve discovered rather late that I am right-brained person. Hobbies/interests? When did you start writing? Thanks for stopping by today! Please tell us a little bit about yourself. KJ is a member of the Romance Writers of America, the New England chapter of the Romance Writers of America, and the Fantasy, Futuristic and Paranormal sub-chapter of the Romance Writers of America. KJ resides in coastal New England and loves spending time in the White Mountains of New Hampshire where the night skies are painted with brilliant starlight and the heavens seem to be within reach. Her stories are smartly written and reflect her love for the paranormal, the excitement of sexual tension, and the lure of a complex mystery. She loves writing as much as she loves reading and often has three or four books, both for writing and reading, in process at any moment. Since her early years, she has yearned for knowledge no matter how obscure and carefully tucked it away knowing that someday she’d find a use for it. K.J. Montgomery has always looked beyond the obvious and firmly believes there are no such things as coincidences. Montgomery who has released the book Trove, the first book of a series featuring investigative mythologist Katie Walsh.

6/30/2023 0 Comments How music works bookIn Musicophilia: Tales of Music and the Brain, Revised and Expanded Edition, Sacks explores the most extreme of these transformations and how simple harmonies can profoundly change lives. But some of his most compelling work has to do with the neuropscyhology of how music can transform our cognition, our behavior, and our very selves. We love the work of neuroscientist and prolific author Oliver Sacks, whose latest book, The Mind’s Eye, was one of our favorite brain books last year. Today, we try to answer it with seven essential books that bridge music, emotion and cognition, peeling away at that tender intersection of where your brain ends and your soul begins. But perhaps even more fascinating than the subject of how music works is the question of why it makes us feel the way it does. Last year, Horizon’s fascinating documentary on how music works was one of our most-liked pickings of 2010. 6/30/2023 0 Comments Amber beach by elizabeth lowellThis review presents a slight departure from all other reviews. So, nothing too spicy for those who don’t enjoy sex in their reading material, and nothing too fluffy, so we don’t put off potential romance readers. We also had to take into account that we have a lot of non-romance readers. She enjoyed it as well, and we agreed that it was a good novel representative of the genre and subgenre, romantic suspense, and the heat level, the sex, wasn’t too over the top. My project partner chose the genre, romance, and I suggested Amber Beach. The instructions specifically said that leaders had to choose a book they both enjoyed. This most recent read came about because of an assignment I had to do for class, lead a book discussion. Lucky for me, by the time I got to series, all of the Donovan books were available, so I didn’t have to wait. It was the first Elizabeth Lowell book I’ve ever read, and by the end, I loved the characters. Way back when I first read Amber Beach, I read it because the cover caught my eye, I was bored, and I was steadily making my way through my library’s romance novels. 6/30/2023 0 Comments Endometriosis by Bethany StahlFor this month’s blog, we’re going to be sharing tips to help women minimize the pain that comes along with this chronic condition.Īs if dealing with endometriosis pain was not enough, anxiety, depression and stress like to squeeze their way into the situation.
